Martin’s Point Health Care was an early adopter of lean concepts in healthcare, and its use of lean has progressively matured since 2010. As the organization continued on their continuous improvement journey they realized that a critical component for culture change was missing – lean leadership behaviors. Their improvement team and HR team worked together to develop a system for ingraining the necessary behaviors into the culture at Martin’s Point Health Care in order to achieve their goal of “all employees providing ever increasing value to our customers and community, with ease.”
